Entry 040

It’s been a while since I’ve written for this blog. In Entry 038, I shared that our doctor recommended using a gestational carrier for our next pregnancy.

With six unexplained losses after trying everything we could think of to make our babies live, we knew the odds of our next pregnancy being successful were higher if another woman carried our baby.

So, that’s what we did.

And I wish my absence from writing was because I’ve been busy preparing for that sweet baby to join us on earth—but it’s not.

Our seventh baby went to heaven.

It wasn’t supposed to happen this way. There were so many reasons this baby should’ve come home in our arms. Everything was lining up perfectly for our baby to join us early next year, but I guess God still has other plans—plans we haven’t understood for four and a half years.

We know our baby girl had the warmest welcome into heaven by her siblings, and I pray the sweet sounds of them laughing and playing will be our soundtrack on repeat when we get there one day.
